Forget British Summer Time – we’re switching to Cornish Summer Time.
The plan is the brainchild of the tourism promotion team at Visit Cornwall.
They are officially calling the launch of Cornish Summer Time (which starts six weeks earlier than ‘official’ British Summer Time) to celebrate the naturally early summer lifestyle here in Cornwall.
Spokeswoman Julia Hughes said: ’We know we are so fortunate to be able to indulge in exciting outdoor activities such as stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, outdoor culture experiences, surfing, wild swimming, fishing, foraging, alfresco dining and much, much more, for more months of the year.’
Cornish Summer Time starts on May 1, and you can find out more using the hashtag #cst
