The Looe Brush tour attracted crowds of railway enthusiasts last weekend

The charter was part of a special weekend of loco-hauled rail touring with West Coast Railways (WCR) in partnership with Brush Type 4 Fund, featuring two Class 47 locomotives operating top ’n tail from Bristol Temple Meads to Looe and return. And passengers travelled on the ‘curve’ at Liskeard for only the second time. Passenger use of the significant ’strategic connection’ between the main line and the branch at Liskeard is not normally permitted.

The tour made over £10,000 for charitable causes including the Brush Type 4 Fund who are a preservation group in the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway who own two class 47 locomotives similar to those used on the Looe Brush.
