Motorists are being urged to take extra care as Royal Navy personnel will now have to cross a busy road after a footbridge was closed off.

The footbridge over Trevol Road in Torpoint links two parts of the HMS Raleigh naval base.

This week HMS Raleigh announced the bridge is to be closed while a structural survey is carried out.
