Break-ins at two primaries
Two primary schools in South East Cornwall have fallen foul of vandals - Trenode near Looe and St Cleer.
A craft knife was used to slash chairs and books in a classroom at Trenode on July 22 while the school was open for an evening function.
The break-in at Trenode took place on July 24 between 7-8pm. Some-one initially tried to gain entry to the school, but failed. Afterwards a school shed was broken into, but items were recovered, including toys belonging to the children.
An appeal has now gone out for local residents to keep a special eye on the school during the summer break. Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call Liskeard police through 0990 777 444 or Crimes-toppers on 0800 555 111.
