BILLY Martin of Moores fruit and vegetable shop in Fore Street, East Looe, has been successful in his planning application to change the premises into an upmarket cafe/brasserie with al fresco facilities. He is to re-locate the present business elsewhere in the town. The application, which received about 60 letters of support from Looe, was given the thumbs up by the planning committee west at Caradon Council, who voted in support of the plan against their officers' recommendations who said it should be refused. District cllr for Looe Brian Galipeau, said he was delighted with the decision. 'With the heritage regeneration project on track this plan will help to improve the heart of the town. 'Looe is really ready for investment, improvements and a general facelift,' he said.
