SALTASH bodyboarder Aaron Dinham has helped to raise £10,000 for victims of the Indian Ocean tsunami disaster. Aaron, who works at the town's leisure centre, entered the Tsunami Surf Relief contest at Fistral Beach, Newquay, on April 9 and came fourth out of 30 riders. Money raised through the event, organised by the British Surfing Association, will be sent to people in Sri Lanka hit by the Boxing Day tsunami. Mayor to relaunch cancer charity shop THE CLIC charity shop in Saltash is set to be relaunched as CLIC Sargent. The work of the two charities, CLIC (Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood) and Sargent Cancer Care for Children, is complementary to each other, meaning that the merger will improve the level of care and support to children with cancer. CLIC Sargent will be the UK's leading children's cancer charity. Saltash mayor Sue Hooper will be cutting the ribbon to officially launch the town's new CLIC Sargent shop today (Friday) at 11am.
