Dobwalls made the long journey to the rugged north coast were conditions were difficult. The pitch was very boggy and with a gale force wind it was almost impossible for either side to make any headway. The home side had the elements at their backs in the first half and pressed forward for an opening although Dobwalls broke out on a couple of occasions and came close.
Boscastle took the lead when a free kick across goal was headed in by a defender attempting to clear.
After the break Dobwalls levelled when a fierce shot from long range by Paul Gerry hit the bar and rebounded to Simon Fisher who tapped home. In the 75th minute Robin Cale gave the visitors the lead from close range after a goalmouth scramble.
Just before the end the scores were again level when a well hit corner was not cleared and an acrobatic bicycle kick found the net. On reflection a draw was probably a fair result as neither side could dominate in such atrocious conditions. For Dobwalls Gary Isbell had a solid game at the back with Mark Fielder who despite sustaining a nasty cut eye played on and led by example as usual. All the players from both sides gave their all and deserve congratulations.
Robin Cale was awarded the man of the match vote for Dobwalls for a hard working performance in midfield despite having to leave the field early due to cramp - the conditions and the effort he put in after a lengthy layoff caught up with him.
