Callington started this game at a furious pace and virtually killed it off in the first six minutes. After just one minute, Gregory scored the first after a mix up in the Delabole defence and five minutes later, following a great solo run Barford set himself up for a fierce 20 yards drive into the top corner,
Callington continued to pressurise the Delabole defence, for a further 20 minutes but failed to convert several good chances. Then it was the turn of Delabole, with their first chance of the game. Fletcher failed to clear his lines and was rounded by Burrell who tapped into an empty net.
If Delabole thought they were back in this game they were about to be very disappointed, as Callington played some of the best football that they have played this season with Griffiths, Jury, Brooks, Barford and Gerry linking up with Taylor and Gregory. They were passing the ball with ease and it wasn't long before the next goal arrived with some good build up play. Barford's left footed cross found Brooks 10 yards out and his side-footed volley found the top corner, Two mins later it Gerry tapped in from six yards to give Callington a 4-1 lead but yet again they gave away another sloppy goal just before half time.
The second period started in the same way, going forward Callington were very dominant with some good passing and movement. Jury 12 yards out scored 'right' footed into the bottom corner for number five. Delabole started to throw players forward and had their moments but poor finishing let them down. Callington made it six 10 minutes before the end. Griffiths found Taylor in the box and turning the defender his fierce shot found the bottom corner. There were some good performances from the Callington side, with Barford, Brooks and Dean Martin all putting in solid efforts.
