This top of the table clash produced a very competitive tussle. The visitors started the brighter and put the league leaders under constant pressure which was rewarded after 20 minutes when Martin Polatch set up Robin Cole to open the scoring. Five minutes later the scores were level after a defensive error, the ball was crossed into the box and tapped in from close range. Just before the break the home side went ahead.
The visitors came out for the second spell looking to up the tempo, but Biscovey were gifted their third goal when a pass back to the keeper was kicked into an advancing forward who got the luck of the rebound to tap home. Martin Polatch reduced the deficit heading home a cross from Robin Cole. Dobwalls were now down to 10 men having had skipper Mark Fielder sent off for a second bookable offence which seemed harsh as a number of reckless challenges had been overlooked throughout the match without receiving a caution.
Biscovey clinched the result with 10 minutes remaining when a scrambled ball was tapped home by Barnard. The game was fairly even with the luck running with the home side. Dobwalls had a number of efforts that came close but didn't get the run of the ball on the day.
Martin Polatch received the Man of the Match award for a superb display up front although he was pushed hard by his strike partner Stewart Dunn whose tireless running caused the opposition defence problems all afternoon.
