This uncompromising encounter in Division Four was certainly not for the faint hearted but it was sensibly handled by Looe referee Barry Mills and both teams enjoyed the contest.
Polperro's 'keeper, Shane Eastley, was kept busy and in excellent form and it took a penalty kick to beat him. For the closing stages of the game Eastley stepped down to allow 14 year old Lee Brown to make his debut for the club. Brown aquitted himself well between the sticks and looks to have a bright future ahead of him.
Goalscoring remains the Polperro stumbling block, they certainly had their share of the play and created enough chances to win the game comfortably but that magical final touch is still eluding them.
