St Dominic's experienced team had too much know-how for Callington's youngsters and took the honours in a keenly fought local derby, played in the right spirit and enabled Callington to try a couple of new faces.

Two down at half time to a disputed goal and a towering header Callington failed to use the strong breeze to their advantage, but St Dominic's keeper made the save of the match from Ruck in a one-on-one confrontation and a goal at that stage would have opened the game up. But when St Dominic went 3-0 up it was only a consolation when Adam Burgoyne followed in a great free kick from Wooley and forced the ball over the line. Callington need to regroup with a quarter-final coming up next week and need to take any chances that may come their way.
