LISKEARD Athletic have added experience to their squad as they go looking for their first double of the season at Newton Abbot Spurs.

Manager Leigh Cooper is signing experienced goalkeeper Ian Baker, who was with him during his championship days at Truro City

'If he is 80 per cent of the goalkeeper he was at Treyew Road, then he will do an excellent job for us,' said Cooper.

The Blues beat Spurs 3-2 at Lux Park on the opening day of the season, when Danny Brook grabbed the winner, but the Liskeard midfielder misses the trip to Newton Abbot due to suspension.

Cooper does have the talented Neal Kinsman returning from a ban, and he is also hoping to entice Holsworthy striker Steve Smeeth to Lux Park.
