BLOOD donors in the Callington area are
being urged to sign up on Monday to help patients receive blood they need over the festive period.
Sessions will be held at the Town Hall in Callington on Monday (November 16), from 1.15pm-7.15pm. Blood is always needed, with hospitals in England and North Wales requiring around 6,000 units every day. It is important that vital blood stocks are maintained at all times, as red blood cells have a shelf life of just 35 days, says the NHS.
