Cornwall defeated the Mining Division League 11-8 in a snooker and billiards match at Redruth RBL and Redruth Gentlemen's Club last week. The Under-21 youth snooker match resulted in a 4-4 draw, while the county side won the senior snooker 5-3 and the billiards 2-1.

Senior snooker - Jason Grigor (Godolphin, Helston) lost to Paul Williams (Godolphin) 40-53 and 32-63; Carl Boundy (Redruth RBL) beat Andrew Best (Bugle) 85-16 and 74-40; Scott Bray (Clinton, Redruth) lost to Kevin Steed (Pensilva) 28-41 and 29-57; Robert Bennetts (Godolphin) drew with Nigel Veal (Godolphin) 30-65 and 73-6.

Billiards - Phil Davey (Playing Place) beat Chris Mitchell (Dobwalls) 254-146; Taylor Veal (St. Ives) lost to Charlie Gay (Redruth RBL) 162-214 (62 break); Paul Matthews (Redruth BR) lost to Dave White (Bude) 126-364 (66, 84).
