Chris Mitchell must have found a billiard table on which to practise on his recent trip to South Africa because on his first fixture back he recorded breaks of 40, 52, 49 and 36 in a quite brilliant performance against Derek White.
Other highlights included Dave Clue having breaks of 75 and 56 against Geoff Toms who responded with 41 and 31. Congratulations to Mark Gregory of St Neot who in the battle of the novices with Peter Tancock won 200-101. Evergreen Wilf Hoskin had a fine victory over Lloyd Hancock.
