A community plagued by traffic problems is being encouraged to tackle the situation head on by getting involved in a new traffic management plan, which could include a dedicated police community support officer (PCSO) funded by taxpayers' money.
Traffic has caused problems in Looe for many years, especially in the summer months.
'This is long overdue,' said mayor Michael Joy.
'Looe traffic problems, especially that of inconsiderate parking, has been out of control since Cornwall Council took charge of street parking enforcement in May 2008.
