A MAN who worked tirelessly to see a bowls club building brought up to scratch will always be remembered by players when they stop to take a few minutes’ rest.
Members of Len Hawke’s family joined Torpoint Bowls Club at the commemoration of a bench donated in Len’s memory.
Men’s secretary Derrick Hunt said: “Len is someone who the club should be very thankful for, because it wouldn’t be the club we have today without his tireless efforts in securing the grants and getting lots of donations to fund the extension and drag the old tired building into what we have today.”
