THE 2nd Torpoint Farthing Wood Beaver Scout Colony won a competition last Saturday as part of the Scouting movement's centenary celebrations. Mount Edgcumbe District organised the event at Mount Edgcumbe Country Park where scouts, cubs and beaver scouts played 'Kernopoly.' This involved completing tasks of finding clues or undertaking challenges such as circus skills, bowls, giant jenga, three-legged football, and map skills to gain points and complete sections on a modified monopoly board. The winning team of William, Ethan, Sam, Alexander and Jacob amassed so many points that they not only won the beaver competition, but also scored more points than some teams in the older sections. The day was blessed with good weather and everyone had fun.
