The Blues belied their lowly League position to push title-chasing Bodmin all the way in this clash at Priory Park, where both sides missed penalties.
Town scored what proved to be the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute through full-back Jack Bartlett. But Liskeard had a great chance to level the scores five minutes after the break when Bodmin were penalised for handball in the area, but Sam Cooper's spot-kick lacked strength as it flew past the left-hand post. The hosts also failed from the penalty spot 14 minutes from time.
