Badminton- Excellent season reported
Linda Collins, Pat Hollands, Phil Pearce and Svend Anderson were the four new personnel elected onto the Cornwall County Badminton association man-agement committee at the agm at Newquay sports centre.
Graham Drew, chairman welcomed members and reported an excellent season on the playing and social fronts.
He thanked Restormel Borough and his committee who had helped to stage the successful fifth badminton international to be staged in the Duchy.
China ran out the 3-2 victors at Polkyth last November, however Badminton was seen to be the real winner.

The 17th Duchy of Cornwall Open badminton championships will have the prize money increased to £900 with the entry fees maintained at last year's prices.
The prestigious event, sponsored jointly by DSS, Kent and GraphicSolutions, from Hampshire, is scheduled for Carn Brea Leisure Centre, Pool on Sept 25/26 with a 10 am start.

Cornwall County has re-scheduled its sponsored cycle ride - along the famous Camel Trail - for Sunday, June 27, with an 11 am scheduled start from Wadebridge. Chairman Graham Drew says the fun aspect of the ride will be to the fore, rather than the raising pots of money.
