St Blazey AOS was presented with a special award by the Cornwall Drama Association for its outstanding comedy duo, Georgina Walkey and Oriel Bennett for their roles as Geisha girls in the Society’s 70th Anniversary production of Aladdin.
Members are now rehearsing for their next production of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood which will be performed at the Keay Theatre, St Austell from January 18 to 25.
This is a new story by Mike Mears, who is the director, with music from Nigel Read and choreography by Nicky Murphy who is new to the Society. The familiar story of good versus evil has some interesting twists and turns. This is another fun-filled frolic suitable for all the family.
