Two of the newest members of East Cornwall Harriers, Ron and Doreen Paine, ran the Fulford 5 last week.
Having joined the club they have both been training hard and their efforts have paid off with both of them getting personal best performances over the five mile distance.
Ron finished 65th overall in a time of 33.22 and wife Doreen finished 120th in 41.52. She picked up the second prize for the Vets over 45 age group.
Anyone wishing to join the club please come along to Lux Park Leisure centre on Tuesday or Thursday (6.30 pm). A jogging club has also been started for people wanting to start the sport of running. This meets at the same time.
