MEMBERS of the Saltash Sings group are looking for other voices to join them in a sing-a-long at the Ashtorre centre later this month. Singers of all ages and styles are being encouraged to attend the session on Friday, November 19 at 7pm, regardless of ability and experience. Lynn Marsh, the instigator of the 'Saltash Sings' concept, said: 'There are many wonderful choirs, both male, ladies and mixed within Saltash and area which we admire and compliment, but normally we have to audition our voices to get into them. 'We feel certain that there are many people out there who might not wish to join an official choir, but would love to sing in an equally relaxed and friendly environment whenever it suited them, with no permanent commitment. 'Community sing-a-longs are becoming very popular these days and offer a facility to people who wish to get out and socialise with no strings attached.' Musical accompaniment will be provided, and songs will be varied to accommodate all ages and tastes. The evening starts at 7pm and the first session will be free. It is hoped that regular sessions will follow. Ashtorre Rock is situated on the Saltash Waterside, and offers a warm and friendly welcome every day from 10am until 4pm.
