Wadebridge 6

DESPITE only having eight players, Liskeard overcame Wadebridge in an 18-goal thriller, 12 of which were shared by the visiting strikeforce of Daniel Ashman and Jack Bowen.

Bowen bagged twice inside the opening ten minutes before Wadebridge replied.

Ashman got back his side's two-goal cushion and Bowen converted a penalty for his first hat-trick of the day, with a Wadebridge goal in between.

The dynamic duo then combined again to make it 7-3 going into the break. However, the hosts came out more determined in the second period and they deservedly pulled two goals back.

From this point, though, the Liskeard defence remained solid, as Mackenzie Wells, Charlie Coates, Thomas Wright and Ace Kennedy played the offside rule very well.

Jack Bowen then scored his sixth to complete his double hat-trick, before Wadebridge reduced the arrears yet again from the penalty spot. However, Ashman and Bowen combined, with help from James and Coates, to score four more goals as Ashman also completed his double hat-trick.

Liskeard manager Tony Gorski described his side's performance as the best he had ever seen.
