YOUNG people from Callington will be invited to help re-vamp the youth centre entrance and porch as part of a scheme to promote and reward positive behaviour in the community. The project, named Groovy Graffiti, will see youngsters working with local artist Jules Greeves in a bid to give the youth centre a makeover. The project is supported by the Extended Services network and aims to give young people the opportunity to make a positive contribution to their local community, as part of the Community Action Through Sports (CATS) scheme. The first session will start at 10am and finish at 3pm on Tuesday, August 28, with the second session beginning at 10am on Wednesday, August 29.
