A FORMER headteacher whose art has taken him from St Ives to New York is exhibiting in Liskeard this week.
Now living in Menheniot, David Beer retired from teaching in 1998 and spent much of the next 12 years painting and running the Penhaven Gallery in St Ives.
His work ranges from seascapes and landscapes in oils using a palette knife, to life studies in pastel and acrylic.
David has exhibited in galleries all over the UK and as far afield as the Galerie Pelar in New York.
His work will be on show at Stuart House, Liskeard, until June 23.
