THE Army will be invading Cornwall next week when a recruitment roadshow will bring with it representatives from different regiments together with Armed Forces careers advisers.

They will be landing in East Cornwall on Thursday, October 4 with roadshows visiting Looe, Fowey and Liskeard which will help locals find out more about what a career in the British Army is like and what opportunities are on offer.

Local soldiers, including serving soldiers from the Royal Armoured Corps, Royal Artillery, The Rifles, The Parachute Regiment and The Coldstreams Guards, together with career advisers will be available to answer questions about the roles available for both Regulars and Reservists.

The Army is recruiting with opportunities available in both the Regular Army and Army Reserve, from helicopter pilot to nurse, from engineer to IT specialist. Recruits can go sky diving or skiing abroad as part of adventure training and gain further qualifications such as an apprenticeship or a degree.

The roadshow will be in Fowey between 8.30 and 10.30am and then move on to Looe between 11.30am and 1.30pm and end up in Liskeard between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
