An informal hearing is to be held to decide an appeal against the refusal of plans for the expansion of a Looe holiday park. The owners of the Tencreek Caravan and Camping Park, Dolphin Holidays, have lodged an appeal with the Government's Planning Inspectorate over their bid to change the use of land to a static caravan park. Caradon District Council rejected the application last month on the grounds that it would significantly increase the numbers of static vans, harming the character of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Plans, documents and the appellants' grounds of appeal can be inspected at the council's planning department at Luxstowe House, Liskeard, between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
