The streets and quaysides of West Looe will be thronging with music, dancing and colour for this year’s West Looe May Fayre on May 6.

The event takes place  in and around the streets of West Looe from 10.15am to 3pm.

The day kicks off with a procession lead by St Pinnock Band, Mayor of Looe Armand Toms, Sheila’s School of Dancing, pupils from Looe Primary School, the Army Cadets and anyone else who wants to join in.

West Looer and town crier Roger Bennett will be ‘shouting’ the day’s programme.

The day features an exhibition of old Looe photographs and memorabilia in Riverside Church, musical entertainment from the fire station stage and Riverside Church, a bouncy castle, an air guitar competition and a sing-a-long.

The focus for the day will be a Maypole outside the Fire Station on the harbourside.

A full programme of local performers is planned.
