Alice Gray, a pupil at Calstock Community Primary School, followed up her success in the Cornish Times-sponsored East Cornwall Harriers' Primary Schools' Cross-Country League with a second place finish in the Pentathlon GB South West Region Biathlon Championship, held on Sunday at Millfield School in Somerset
The youngster – who clinched the Years 3 and 4 individual girls' title in the East Cornwall series last month – was competing in the nine and ten years' age group in Somerset, despite only turning nine two weeks ago.
