Firefighters from Lostwithiel joined colleagues from Bodmin to answer a 999 call prompted by a smoke alarm in the middle of the night.

Householders were evacuated from the property in Forth an Heller, Bodmin, while two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a fire blanket was used on a deep fat fryer which was smoking heavily. The property was ventilated by fire crews.
