Plymouth City Airport is to close by the end of the year.

Its owner, property firm the Sutton Harbour Group, said it was unable to make the struggling airport financially viable and substantial losses meant the airport had to close.

Plymouth is in fierce competition in the South West with larger airports in Newquay and Exeter.
