AFC Dobson's Summer Skitles league
The AFC Dobsons Summer Skittles league kicked off on Monday 10th May. Unfortunately, the winter league KO competitions had not been completed, so only three of the scheduled seven matches were completed in the first week. The league consists of 14 teams, with a couple of sides included last year withdrawing. However, I am pleased to say that the Dobsons Skittles league is a popular one, and they were soon replaced. To date, 76 men and 40 ladies have been registered.
The league has now ended it's third week and the front runners are the Terriers closely followed by two teams, the Hammers and Bulldogs A. there have been some excellent individual scores, with the highest lady to date is Jo Elliott of the Demons with 82. The highest man's score is shared at the moment between Ray Parker of the Market Men and Alex Joyce of the Alley Cat's five with 80. The matches are very keenly contested and there is a long way to go before the end of the season.
