The National Trust team at Cotehele have organised a programme of special activities for children.
There will be led activities on week-days in August from, 12noon to 3pm.
Mondays children can make ‘play’ swords and shields; Tuesdays visitors will be able to hold real antique swords in the house; Wednesdays will feature fun on the Shamrock 1899 Tamar sailing barge; Thursdays will be pond-dipping; and ‘crafty Fridays’ will be a day for making art in the education room.
Families can follow a summer pixie trail from the quay to the mill, build a den, visit the baker at the mill, explore the under 18s-only room in the house (last entry 4pm) and more.
