Children from Cornwall who have additional needs are being treated to an action-packed activities programme over the summer holidays, courtesy of a local charity.
The Cornwall Accessible Activities Program (CAAP) has organised six weeks’ worth of activities – designed to give young people who are experiencing challenges the same opportunities as others.
The charity was formed in 2013 by a group of parents, when cuts were made to local authority funding for accessible child care.
Scores of attractions across Cornwall – including Flambards in Helston – have worked together to offer young people trips including accessible personal care facilities, discount rates, and special experiences.
