Seven members of Liskeard Conversation Group celebrated their 10th Anniversary with friends and family with a meal at Whitsand Bay Hotel.

The group was originally part of Connect Cornwall, which started various conversation groups throughout the county for people with aphasia, a long-term communication disability caused by stroke or other head injury.

Liskeard has had a group since the beginning of Connect, which has now ceased due to the lack of funding.

Liskeard’s group have managed to secure their own funding to enable the group to continue.

They meet at the Liskerrett Centre on Monday mornings between 10.30am and 12 noon.

If you have, or you know of anyone who has aphasia and would benefit from joining the friendly group, email Maurice Diaper at [email protected]
