A Cornish riposte
John Morse is being economical with the truth in his latest attack on me. I'd like to mention a couple of facts that he ignores.
I have never vilified people who are born over the border, (as, alas, was I) only English people who move down here and sneer at the Cornish, and the Cornish Nation.
I have never claimed that the name Middleton derived from a point on the Looe River. I only mentioned that Middleton's Corner was on a bend in the Looe River, and named after my great-grandfather Ned Middleton.
