Cornish Times reader Peter Dukes was in Looe and took these pictures after scaffolding fell onto a lorry in Fore Street this morning.

Police closed off the road to traffic and said that the scaffolding would need to be dismantled to make the area safe.

Meanwhile in Shutta Road in the town, where Cormac is carrying out a major project to rebuild a long section of retaining wall, the heavy rain brought earth and rocks down into the road.
