Two people are in hospital tonight after a serious accident on the A38 this afternoon.

Both injured people had to be cut free from the wreckage of their vehicle.

One fire appliance from Liskeard, one fire appliance from Saltash and the rescue tender from Bodmin were at the scene near Menheniot after the accident happened at around 2pm.

Firefighters used crash rescue equipment to release the trapped casualties. Paramedics, the air ambulance, and Police were also at the scene.
