Bude RNLI’s lifeboat crew rescued two people cut off by the tide at Crackington Haven on Sunday (June 5).

The lifeboat and Rescue Water Craft (RWC) were both launched. The lifeboat was helmed by Mike Tame with crew Steve Carter and Charlie Green. Jeremy Brown and Gavin Goatcher were on the RWC.

The crew located the two casualties who were worried but not injured; they were then transferred to the lifeboat and returned safely to the beach at Crackington Haven.

A spokesperson for Bude RNLI said: ’We would advise people walking along this stretch of coastline to check the tides and always be aware of how quickly it does come in. If you get into difficulty call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.’
