TWO men, one from the Saltash area, are the first to be charged in Devon and Cornwall under new drug-driving legislation.

Mark Mitchell, 35, of Grassmere Way, Pillmere, Saltash, and Jeffrey Oduro, 23, of Central Avenue, Edmonton, London, have been charged with driving while over the prescribed drug limit, a new Section 5a Road Traffic Act offence.

Both men are due to appear at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court on February 25.

The alleged offences took place in December 2015 in Plymouth and Cornwall.
