A motorcyclist died in a collision on the A30 near Fraddon this morning.

The rider was in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle on the eastbound carriageway at about 6.30am.

The motorcyclist was taken to Treliske Hospital, but police this afternoon said his injuries had been fatal.

The eastbound carriageway at Summercourt has been closed and major traffic delays have been experienced, with police advising motorists to keep away from the area.

Any witnesses to this morning’s collision are asked to call police on 101 quoting log number 64.
