A tractor and its load of four round bales caught fire on the A30 yesterday afternoon (March 14).

The drama happened near the Colliford Lake turning at lunchtime.

Firefighters from Bodmin and Launceston saw a large amount of black smoke as they approached the blaze. Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus and three hosereels to put out the fire.
