A tractor fire spread to a nearby baler on a farm yesterday (June 4).

Seven firefighters from Torpoint and six firefighters from Saltash found the tractor well alight at Millbrook Farm, Torpoint.

A water carrier from Liskeard was needed because of poor water supplies in the area.

Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel on the fire, and foam to smother the flames.
