The full tragic toll of this morning’s horror accident on the A38 at Landrake has become clear.
Three people lost their lives in the crash, including a woman and child travelling in the same car who were pronounced dead at the scene.
A boy from the same car was airlifted to Bristol Children’s Hospital.
The third victim of the accident was a male pedestrian.
Six injured people were taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth what what is said to be ‘non life-threatening injuries’.
The A38 was closed in both directions for much of the day after the five-vehicle accident at around 11am.
Diversions were set up but there was widespread traffic chaos.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to contact them on 101.
