There are fears for two people who were seriously injured in a major crash on the A38 at Landrake earlier today.

A number of other people also sustained injuries in the five-vehicle collision.

The collision blocked the road and the A38 has been closed in both directions at Trerulefoot and Carkeel. Diversions are in place via the A388 and A390, but the incident has caused widespread delays affecting the Torpoint Ferry too.

The road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours so police are asking motorists to avoid the area for the time being.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called at 11.15am today.
