Holiday-makers are being warned to be careful when buying from street sellers after Cornwall Council responded to the summer’s first reports of counterfeits at the seaside.
Cornwall Council’s Trading Standards and Police were called to Perranporth beach amid reports that fake clothing and handbags were openly being sold by street traders.
Dozens of branded items, including fashion hand bags, clothing, boots, perfume, sun glasses, speakers and headphones and sportswear were seized.
Anyone with information about sales of counterfeit goods can contact Trading Standards at [email protected] or via 0300 1234 191.
