A man in his fifties who collapsed while out running near Liskeard on Saturday was pronounced dead at the scene, say police.

Emergency services were called by a member of the public concerned for the welfare of the man, who had become unwell while in Menheniot.

Two ambulances and the air ambulance were called to the scene at around 10.45am and CPR was performed but the man, who was 54, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
