The road from Doublebois to Minions is likely to remain closed for the rest of today (Friday) while fire crews continue to damp down and search for potential hot spots at the site of WH Orchard and Sons scrapyard near Dobwalls.  

Cornwall Council says diggers are being brought in later this morning to separate the cars on the site to enable crews to identify and deal with any hot spots. 

This work is likely to take some time and Cornwall Fire, Rescue and Community Safety Service expect the incident to continue until late afternoon. 

The road from Doublebois to Minions will remain closed until the work has been completed.
