Detectives are appealing for the public’s help in finding six paintings and drawings worth more than £100,000 which were stolen from a home in Falmouth.
Four paintings and two drawings, worth around £110,000 in total, were stolen during a burglary at a house in the Woodlane area of the town.
It happened sometime between February 28 and March 19, while the occupant was away.
One of the items stolen was a Joan Eardley painting of a landscape with roses, with a current estimated value of £70,000.
An Alfred Wallis painting called ‘Luggers off the harbour mouth’ (pictured), valued at £12,000; two Hannah Woodman paintings, valued at £12,000 in total; and two Frank Auerbach drawings, valued at £15,000 in total, were also taken.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who knows where the stolen items are or has been offered them for sale.
